Default xp defrag

Why doesn't it ever get 100%?

It always show fragmented files. Run defrag, more fragmented files, it gets a few of them and then stops. Run it again.. still some fragmented files... again, it gets some but not all then stops.

Maybe older versions of windows were lieing to us but at least they showed it got 100%.

Viva La Linux.

I hardly ever defrag anymore since XP cause I just don't believe it's really working right.

Defragging is usually not necessary anymore. Computers are so fast now that you'd never notice the difference.

The only defragging program I've found lately that really works is Speed Disk that comes with Norton SystemWorks.

I use Fix-It by VCOM. Comes with a whole bunch of tools and speed-up tools - like Registry Optimizer and defrag. I notice a difference after I use it.
