If you ever go, keep reminding yourself you're not there to meet people, but to have a good time and have good conversations. Don't try and act like your special and talk about yourself, but talk about common things you would as if the person is already a friend and you're out to get coffee.

Friend of mine was at a bar when a speed dating event was going on...

funny... it's a friend that helped organised it that invited me, she said that there was too many girl and not enough guys so they need more guy.

it's worth a shot man. You always talk about how you know all these girls that just want to be friends with you. This couldn't hurt. :dunno:
