cap problem/question (1 farad)
I have a Rockford Fosgate 1 farad cap that I used to have hooked up to my system in my old accord. Whole system was taken out of there and put into my Integra. Anyway, it's been a while sitting in storage (2years maybe) but I can't charge the cap anymore.
Maybe the CHRG1 circuit board is bad but it's not giving me a light like it says it should. Is my cap dead?
If I use a volt meter across the caps poles I get only about 0.1 volts but it does read it consistantly.

try hooking it up, and just run the car w/ no stereo for a few min, then test it again for +. your led sensor may just be fawked. just hook batttery>+> cap >- >ground

i'd just hook the cap first to try to charge it...but you are almost correct. you are better off using a distribution block. it T's off of the positive side before the fuse to the cap. safer that way.
