anyone with pet turtles?
Im thinking about adopting 4 baby turtles that my cousins have and neglect. 
Theyre the tiny ones you get from Chinatown. Just have a few questions about them. Anyone have them as pets? Any pics of your tank setup? What do I feed them? Any other tips on raising turtles would be appreciated.

my girlfriend has one.....its a baby right now but its the species of turtle that u see at the zoo that grow to weigh 200lbs

it is illegal to sell red ear sliders that are under 4" in diameter
not illegal to own as far as i know
get them a nice large tank. at least 20 gals but eventually (like in the next year) youll need something at least 50 gals
its best to have water - tap - thats about twice as high as wide as your turtles
and youll need proper lighting and a dry area for them to climb onto and bask
feed them about once every 2 days
