Oh ok so you learned from your mistakes? Why not let them do the same? It seems to be how it happens because I know at least from my own experience that I started off wanting to go all show and was looking at some pretty ricey items. Then after a while I realized it wasn't what I really wanted.

There are a grip of really tasteful and nice bumpers. But then there are your absolutely heinous ones that I would like to pee and puke on.

A crappily made kit on a car which does not have much in the way of performance potential, or more specifically is some kind of regular passenger car which might be modified, is not really my taste. But on plenty of other vehicles, especially sports cars which are in fact shaped like sports cars but are a bit uninteresting when it comes to bumpers and side skirts, tastefully executed kits aren't bad at all. They can even be kind of clunky and still get away with it. For example:
