I finished it yesterday. Took me less than a week in normal mode.
You have to go to the Car Shop (should be a light blue or dark purple circle) if I remember right, after you pick up her car.
My garage I had:
Toyota Celica (NA)
240SX (NA)
Honda Civic Si (NA)
Mitsu Evo8 with carbon fiber body kit. Pumping out 450hp
Nissan Skyline all decked out to 10 stars (no spinners though) with 500+hp
I couldn't figure out how to unlock the widebody kits though

hmmm for some reason it only shows me at 93% done and i have unlocked every shop there is and i have just beaten the game :wtf: and just like said above i cant seem to unlock the wide body kits. but the first time I beat it i finished at 65% it unlocked the wide body kit selection :rant: i then went to finish all the races using the world map but the second time it did not work

Did you do all the stars that would pop up? And do your sponsor's races? I forgot to look at what percentage I had.

In order to unlock the widebody kits, you need to win a certain number of impromptu "Outrun" races -- the ones where you challenge another AI driver while you're just driving around.
In another thread, somebody here posted a link to gamefaqs.com. :thinking: That link broke down all of the rewards and the criterion to unlock them.
I have to confess, I'm addicted as well.

When I finished the Career Mode about a week ago, I had an RX-7 and an MX-5, both fully built (without absurdly ricey crap).
Now, I'm messing around with an AE86. It's not half bad...once you've gotten under the hood a bit.
