Best sport soriented Sedan under 30k
Okay, My friend is having is first baby so he needs a four door. He is trading in his 2001 prelude base with 43k on it. He just bought a house and a sequoia for his wife so the bank would only pre-approve 28k for a new auto. We have found a 2004 STI with 26k on it for $26,000.00. Blue with gold rims. He is really partial to the STI but I told him not to rush into it. His brother has an EVO and he does'nt like it so the EVO is out. I really can't think of any other car that he could get with less than 50k that would be comparable to the STI. What do you think? I recommended he check out a used S4 or the new Altima SER. What other cars would you guys recommend? Four doors is a must.

Could be highway miles. I drive 55 miles each way to and from work and I change the oil in all of my cars like clockwork so it does'nt mean the car was mistreated. I would rather have cummuter car that was taken care of rather than a low mileage car that has never had the oil changed. But we will definately be calling the previous owner to feel him out and doing a thourough check-up on the STI. Thanks for the input man.

If you want anything "comparable" to the STi you won't find it. It is a unique breed of car. There are other reasonably sporty cars with 4 doors but they are not hyper turbocharged all wheel drive econoboxes on crack.
If you ask me, his first mistake was buying a damn Sequoia for only the first baby.

His wife has been driving a 97' Accord for the past 7 years waiting patiently for the Sequoia. While he has had three cars in that time. They plan on having as many as they can so I think they will need it. He wanted a 4runner but she put her foot down when she found a slightly used 04' for a good price.

If you have to have balls out performance from a 4 door get the STi. too bad the Mazda 6 Mazdaspeed isn't out yet or I'd say get that. AWD with 270ish hp, that's one sexy 4door.

i wouldnt buy a car that new with that many miles, i dont care if the miles were put on by highway commute, stop and go, or on a dyno.
too many miles.
go get a brand new regular WRX, what does he need that much power for with 2 kids in the backseat?
