Members Poll: Why You like Honda?
My first car was a Honda and it taught me a lot about driving since it didn't have a lot of power. I learned to use it's handleing to keep up with bigger and more powerful cars.
I've had other makes (Pontiac, Ford, Mazda) and I was completely disapointed with them, so I figured if something really works, stick with it.

Ive had 7 hondas and some other various cars. I found hondas can be driven very hard with ease...
I branched off halfway through my hondas and bought 93 3dr 20 gti golf :mistake:
Gearbox literally blew a hole in the side of its housing so the car cost me some money
h:
Ive only ever made on, or broke even with Hondas

interesting, my first car was a 74 international scout.
my second car was a 68 pontiac firebird damn that was a fun car! but not really something you could drive everyday.
my second car was another 68 pontiac firebird. I was a college student at that time had to sell it in order to get to school on time for class.
my third car was my first honda a 90 EF civic DX. drove that thing around the world twice. and was still ready for more.
My fourth car was a 90 EF civic SI the D16a is comparable to the B16a in terms of R/S ratio (check out a v8 Ferrari kinda similar eh?) that car was the beginning of the passion.
I moved to Japan in 2001.
I know... I still havent given any reasons for why I like hondas but Im not through...shut up!
My 5th car was a JDM EG4 civic vti. it just keeps getting better...
My 6th and present car is a true JDM EG6 civic Sir II. I absolutely love it but my wandering eyes have been coveting a 98 spec ITR like this
This isnt an Acura... its a Honda

very reliable. i've driven 2 american models before my accord and both fell apart at 70K. my honda *knocking on wood* has been extremely solid and fun to drive.

im starting to lose my love for VW.
my gf's car (99 Jetta) has some rattles and clunks in the front end after about 55k and the company car (Beetle) does as well (didnt not the mileage this morning...) the beetle feels cheap-ish inside, everything is hard plastic. i used to be all about VW but im not sure id ever make an effort to own a VW after my experiences with these 2 cars....
I like honda bec. they have been consistent. from F1 to the civic. the technology always passes on and evolves. Honda develops new technology and builds upon
this new technology in thier new models. think about it. look at Toyota. how many engines has the Mr2 had? N/A. Turbo, back to N\A. honda has never relied on turbo to sell thier cars. Nissan GTR sold heaps of cars in Japan. but ever since F1 banned turbo, and Porche produced the GT3 (380hp N/A) Nissan hasnt produced a GTR that can compare...its been on sebatical for 3 years. Same with Toyota. They realize that the turbo thing isnt going to cut it anymore...I havent seen a new supra for nearly 5 years.
Honda is the king of the 4 cylinder engine.
