when i was a kid i got caught at more then double the speed limit. It cost me A LOT around $2000 and lost my drivers license for a while. Having a lawyer wouldn't of changed anything for me so i paid and got a lesson out of it. BTW the first couple of year it was hell to even get a insurance company to cover me. It was a stupid thing to do i know... good luck dude

I got pulled over yesterday going down to PA to meet Jess. :chuckles: 78 in a 55. But he hooked me up with Failure to present up-to-date insurance instead of the speeding ticket. *phew*

Glad to read about it being somebody else instead of me. About this time last year, i had the same problem. I now have one of the nicest radar detectors made. Anyway, i did a lot of reading on how to get out of a ticket. I went to the public library, and got a book called beat your ticket, go to court and win. I read where a stationary radar detection device had to be visible for at least 500 feet by the sherriff and police. Not the state troopers. He was not. I went to court. I still had to pay the fine, but got it completely removed from my record. No insurance hikes, no loosing my licence, etc., so i was happy. Good luck.
