if you are under 18 you signature on a contract is meaningless, thus someone else needs to sign for the vehicle, that doesn't mean the title can't be transfered.

well then someone might have made a mistake or your local laws might be different but I'm pretty sure it's a federal law, but i could be wrong.

guess what.

vehicle registration is a state by state thing.

what happens in texas is totally different from NY or Calipornia.

but here, you have to be 18 for the vehicle to be registered in your name, but you can still own a car under your parents name.

nah, its not federal.

thats why some states have reg/inpect stickers on the windsheild, and others on the plates, some states require two plates, others just one.
