mite be out of the honda game for a bit :happysad:
my current EJ is falling apart due to the crappy michigan roads/winters/etc. For a birthday present of sorts my father offered to Lease me a car for the rest of the time I am in school, and store my b16a/work on it/sell it whatever in the mean time. I am really torn....I love being able to work on my car, and love my civic...but she has seen better days.....any recomendations (Fatbooty) on something under 200 bucks a month with a couple few thousand down? 24 month.
I am lookin at the SAAB 92x, RSX, Scooby *, anything really. I have to be able to drive it in the winter though.

I wish gas wasnt so expensive...I could get a 2004 Dodge 1500 4x4 quad cab for 99 bucks a month, but I would be paying out the ass to keep the damn thing on the raod gas wise...

Nice to see I was singled out.
One thing you can do is go shopping around to see which cars have subsidized lease deals on em at the moment. There are more than a few out there. Edmunds.com maintains a pretty up-to-date listing. A few which I found in my zip code (not sure how widely available they these will be) are:
2005 Acura RSX - $199/mo for 42 months, $2493 total due at signing
2005 Honda Civic Value Package - $169/mo for 42 months, $1108 total due at signing
2005 Mazda 3i sedan - $179/mo for 42 months, $2854 total due at signing
2005 Mazda 6i Sport sedan - $199/mo for 36 months, $2000 down (not sure on total due)
2005 Saab 9-2X Linear - $199/mo for 36 months, $2659 total due at signing
But since you're only looking for 24 months maybe something else would be in order. Lease payments can go all over the place because there are so many factors which can be messed around with. But figure to keep it under $200/month for 24 months with $2000 down you'll need to keep the price of the car itself at $20,000 or less. So if you like a certain car, find out its invoice pricing and see how low that'll go. If it fits under $20k then you can go to a dealership and have em try to work out numbers for you that will be to your satisfaction. Just stick to your budget and don't be absolutely committal until you really know what's going on.
