how do i make my icons transparent? they used to be, but now they all have an ugly back boarder

 

do you mean the icon labels in windows XP? try going to control panel > system > Advanced tab

click on the performance settings button, and find "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop". if it's not checked, check it, hit Apply. if that doesn't help, i have no idea.

 

ya, i tried i and it still isnt working, it kinda pisses me off

 

doesnt your video card have to suport alphablending in order to do that?

 

it just happened last week. before that it was perfectly fine.
