Default Problem connecting to wireless router

I posted issues in the past, but its now worse.

All 3 of my computers automatically connect to my neighbors connection. My connection is no longer shown as being available. Before it got this bad, i could connect for a couple hours on my own connection, then the connection would dissappear- causing me to reset both router and modem. Now, i cant get a connection at all. Whats up? I reset the router and modem... no go. The activity lights flash on both...

Is this a problem with my router? I was going to plug the laptop into the modem directly and see if it works.. but im still looking for a ethernet cable..

Any ideas?
thanks- sean

What kind of router? I only have experience with Linksys, so if thats what it is, you may have to configure it before it works.

If the adapter is detecting other networks, why would you think thats what it is?
