Depends. My ex worked at a Fortune 500 company through an Engineering agency (Kelly Services) for over a year..and there were guys working there through the agency for more than 10 years. They didn't have as good of benefits as the people who worked FOR the company directly, but htey were content with what they got.

Agencies like Sesame and Manpower (dunno if you have htem up there) you'll only work at one job for a few weeks at a time, if that, then get moved to something else.

It depends on what you're looking for and what agency you go through.

I went to a private placement agency for my last position and was placed permanent until the place went under due to environmental concerns cuts by the current administration.

I would say give it a try at the worst you decline placement until you get what you want.

i worked for manpower once and i never will again. i showed up at their office at 5am and sat there waiting for about 3 hours. they finally found some work for me, got to the job site at 9, worked until about 5. luckily we were working at wake forest and some of the chicas thought itd be nice to buy us some lunch :goodjob: which manpower took an hour off for but only lasted 20 minutes. anyway, end of the day i get a check for about 25-30 dollars never again. desk jobs and stuff might be different though :dunno:

Avoid AppleOne like the plague. They placed me in secretarial, letter folding, and telemarketing jobs.... A perfect application for my BA and years of computer repair :eh:
