When I turn on my mom's computer (xp home), it goes to the login screen. After trying to log in under any of the screennames (there's five of them), it logs me on the automatically logs me off right after that. Any ideas?

ive been having a wierd problem too, when I turn on my computer (also xp home) and I click on the my Icon to type in my password and I type it in, it seems as if my keyboard is disconnected or the computer isnt recognizing it, because nothing happens when I type. But the wierd thing is that when I hit other keys on my keyboard like the "caps lock" key it does recognize it because the window pops up that warns me that its on. this has happend to me twice and its frustrating because it wont let me log into my computer for like 2 days and then the problem goes away :dunno:

 

it doesn't log in on safemode either :happysad:

also, I forgot to mention this. I ran adaware's smart scan, and it found a whole bunch of bad stuff. It deleted most of it, but said that it was going to have to reboot to delete the rest of the stuff. So I clicked OK and tried to restart the computer. That was the first time I had the problem.

at the login screen, hit ctrl atl del twice and login as Administrator
