Transmission Rebuild?

Ohh I know what I forgot.....a vid camera or a digi still cam at least so you can take pics of the mayhem and the creative use of the BFH in tranny building:chuckles:

I should have mentioned that my friend is going to attempt to rebuild his Mustang 5- speed. I figure that if he is capable of doing that without screwing it up I could trust him with mine. He is pretty competent with mechanical stuff, far more than me. I have the basic oil change down pretty well though :exnbp:. I got a quote from this place that specializes with Honda transmissions for performance and it was like $1400 without shipping. Gearspeed? Anyone heard of them? They may also be the only ones that can get the carbon syncros. I'll probably end up having them do it unless this would save me a lot in labor and shipping. The thing is really starting to go to shit though. Shift effort is harder and it pops out of and sometimes won't go into third.

jeez, 1400 can get you a nice itr tranny and then some

True but I would have to adapt it to my cable tranny car and I don't want to run into the same problems of a beat transmission again.
