oil
What's an average price for some regular 5w-30 and 10w-30?
I picked up some 5w-30 for about $8 for a 5quart jug. Some Quaker State.

Thats a great price actually. Personally I would run back and grab two or three more just to have it on hand.

That's a pretty good price, but that's WalMart for you, nice low prices.
Too bad my car takes 7.4-7.9 Quarts, so I end up spending $30 in oil for Synthetic, or about $20 in regular, plus the damn filter and o-rings.
It costs me about $30 to change my own oil, or $31.99 to have it done by the dealer.
Wal-Mart wont change my oil, they said the "canister type" oil filters are too hard to deal with. When in reality, they're cleaner and easier - they have a damn drain plug on the bottom of the filter canister and then you just unscrew it like a regular filter and put the new filter in, and put it back on.
So, basically, I'm stuck spending $30 no matter what.
