Default blocked sites in firefox?

wtf?

i'm not even going to talk about the fact that firefox lost my bookmarks again and for good this time.

now, i can't go to *.yahoo.com

i get: "Error
Invalid HTTP request."

It's not a hosts issue because I can get to it in IE. I'm pretty sure I didn't inadvertently block it but if i did, i can't find a way to unblock it.

Anyone seen this before?

Restart the computer.
I have to do that all the time, but I don't mind cause I like Firefox.... but yeah if I have an interruption of internet service I have to reboot with the good connection, and then it'll work again.
Otherwise I get that same message.

I have never had that problem, I've actually had it backwards before. Sites I couldn't get to in IE but could in FF. I don't have any suggestions besides reinstalling and posting the question (probably try a search first) here http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38

it just lost your bookmarks? is there anything that happened that might be related to that? i've never had anything like that happen to my firefox, and i've been using it for about seven or eight months now.

do you have any extensions installed? if an extension is buggy, it can interfere with the rest of the browser's behavior. one extension messed with my popup blocker.. i went to the extension homepage and saw a big message saying something like "do not use this extensions, it's full of bugs".. so i disabled it and the problems went away.
