I had many sets in the past but I could never tell if they are better then stock? Could anyone tell a difference? Do pads matter also?

I have heard that the brembo blanks are better

stock car = stock rotors/calipers/pads

however a nice set of aftermarket pads would be the most cost efficient (and useful)

get brembo blanks and good pads. they'll do fine for the street.

i have a set of drilled/slotted brembo's. they definately stay cooler than my stock rotors, but i don't think there is much difference in stopping power, i guess unless you are doing alot of braking.

blank rotors are blank rotors are blank rotors. it really doesn't matter the rotor brand until you are doing extremely heavy braking.

You're not going to notice a reduction in brake fade (which is what slotted and/or drilled rotors do) unless you are really beating on the brakes at something like a track event.

Even then it's questionable if you'd notice it over a good set of regular vented rotors w/ some good pads.

Your second question, do pads matter; yes. Pads are everything.

It's like tires.

Your suspension can be great, but without good tires it all goes out the window. Same thing with brake pads.

just get good pads. unless you're taking it to the track...it pretty much doesnt help more with vented rotors.
