Default Question about citations...

If a cop issues you a citation lets say for speeding and he gives you a choice of paying for it or fighting it in court....can the officer after a day or 2 issue you the exact same ticket but instead of having the choice of paying for it, you dont anymore and you have to go to court? i dont know if that made sense or not...but hopefully it did *when i said exact same i mean its the citation you got the first time but he just changed his mind whether you could pay it or not*

Its weird, like this cop gave me a citation for my accident, and on the citation and verbally he told me that i could either pay the fine for it or go to court and fight it. Then a couple of days later he comes to my work *which i hear is harrasment or something i dunno really know anyways back on subject* and gives me the exact same citation *even dated the same day* but this time he says i dont have a choice on paying it anymore, I have to go to court.

I thought once a citation was issued like it couldnt be changed? or am i just wrong?

Translation:
He got a speeding ticket and was told by the officer that he had to pay it by the deadline or appeal it in court. 2 days later, the cop reissued the ticket stating that you now have to go to court and cannot just pay the ticket.

My answer would be to go to your Police Dept. and ask them directly. I don't know what specifically happened in your incident you tried to describe.

The best plan of action is to go speak with someone from the agency that cited you.

I've gotten a no-front plate ticket twice in one day. I believe you can.

Last night, I was up on the 3rd floor of the police station and they have a drop box where you can drop off citations. I decided to drop a few untriggered hand grenades down there and then one I pulled the pin before tossing it down there. Then I ran like hell!

oh it was a huge mess. citations all over, I think it even took out a few people standing by the 2nd floor dropbox!
