no no...I've only had a limited experience with seeing her acceptance speeches. I think I've only seen one where she was overcome with emotion which didn't really bother me. I wasn't challenging what you were saying, I was asking for specifics about what she has said or done because I'm not up to date on prima dona actresses.

 

Obviously people like her and think she is a good actress, because she keeps getting roles and makes lots of money. I fail to see how you think she "plays herself" in every movie.

 

Plain Jane...none of the characters, aside from the prostitute she played, are very distinctive from one another. They're just your typical american woman with a quirk or two that falls in love.

well, let me give one instance.. there was the 2002 oscars, where, when denzel washington won the award, and she was presenting it to him, she said, "I cannot absorb living in a world where I have an Oscar for Best Actress and Denzel doesn't have one for Best Actor"

to me, that had, "look at me, i'm such a good person[/fake]" written all over it. but shit, i'm having trouble finding the words to explain what i mean.. she said this not because she actually felt this way, but because she was putting on a show. know what i mean? ugh.. stupid lack of ability to express oneself anyway, that's how i saw it, and how i see her.
