Anyone have info on this item?
In unpacking my house I came across this odd contraption called a "Vaculator". Obviously it is a coffee brewing device which is really rather simple in design.
What I am trying to find out is the years it was made, the model I possess, and the years this particular model was made.

wow, thats odd. that porcelain thing reminds me of those conductor things they put on phone wires (well they used to, i think they're glass now). about the same size too.
i'm going to guess the latest its from the 70's, earliest maybe 50's. i'll look around for you though.

Top lip (written on lower seal to the pot):
Vaculator Chicago
Cat. No. RRI Pat. Pend.
Metal lip on the lower pot is a simple signature logo stamp saying Vaculator and thats it.

nevermind i found it. The brand is actually Vaculator, made by Hills-Shaw, Inc.

Yeah I came across that site last night in searching for info and this pot looks like a couple he lists. I went ahead and dropped him an email about it to see if he can shed any light on this thing.

here's an ad from woman's day in 1946, which is almost exactly the same as the one you have
the only difference is a piece added on or two, but almost everything is there, so i'm assuming its probably a year or two earlier than this one. damn i'm a good guesser
