i used to get those all the time.. the damn army people try to talk to you and be all cool to get you to join.. i tweaked out the first time i saw it though

 

I get that whenever my aunt calls.

US Marines call me every week it seems. I have the same anser, no I do not want to be a marine and yes I am in school I'm sure you can tell this thank you now I must go figure out how hard an object falls from a balloon 160 ft in the air.

 

we got this one guy that was in the armed forces that came by starbucks and tried to persuade us to join.
he came back again and asked how my brother was...(i dont have a brother but my supervisor did and he was in Iraq) so i said, i dont have a brother, you must be thinking of someone else...

he replies, "oh well, you all look the same anyways..." (even though he was azn as well) and left.

 

Some of them are nice and the rest of them are really really rude.

 

my mom and sister both work for SSA so whenever they call it shows up 'US GOVT DEPT'

 

I was in OIF I and OIF II. If I reenlist I'll probably be in OIF III and IV. F*** that! My guardian angel needs a break for a few years.

I don't mean to come off rude or mean ( or unpatriotic, at all), but do you honestly think the U.S. is threatened less by winning this war ? It seems like we're just solidyfing the people against us and getting the rest of the world to slowly start to agree with them.

 

having served 3 yrs active duty in the US Army i will try my hardest to persuade you to go into anything other then the marines or army. all branches pay you the same amount of money. no person makes more money no matter what your MOS is or what branch your in. all depends on your Pay grade. But going into something other then army or the marines is a good idea because you will learn more in the other 3 branches that will be of more use in the civilian world once you decide to get out.
