my guess it's HP support taking over any customer releated issues. pc company assisting with pc users, unlike apple company assisting pc users.

the ipod, unfortunatly, is very popular.

Apple can't keep up with the demand. So they enlisted the help of HP to help make them. HP gets to have it's +HP in the name and they help Apple sell a ton more units. They are the same units, however.
