If you have an Accord just fold down the seats?

The ones that look llike suction cups don't just hold to the roof with those - it also has straps that clip onto the inside rain gutters of your car.

I have a Yakima rack ($200 for everything) and it's interchangeable with other things like a bike rack, kayak, and other gear. I'm going to be putting on my hatchback soon.

You can get a generic rack at Sports Authority, Walmart or Kmart I think.

well i rented a car in Utah the other week.. they had ones that just suctioned or magnetized onto the roof of my impala and held 2 pairs of skis really well.

i would fold the seats down but my speakers/amps are back there and i dont' wanna screw them up

I don't know if I would trust suction cups or magnets to hold my skiis on my roof. Your skiis act like a wing up there especially at highway speeds.

If you have a 2 door sometimes they make an extention part to make sure you have a long enough cross span.
