i dont know if what i tried to post today got posted or not, my computer flipped out on me and i had to reformat my c: drive. anyways what i tried to post this morning was this-

I cant seem to figure out the dynamics of how you can have a faster timed 1/4 car at a lower speed over a car with a higher speed at the end of the 1/4 mile. for example using nice rounded numbers:
Car1= 10 seconds at 100 mph in 1/4 mile
Car2= 11 seconds at 110 mph in 1/4 mile

ive seen a lot of races/time slips with numbers that are like that, not specifically the numbers themselves but faster time at a slower speed and i have yet to figure that one out, can anyone explain?

yeah but once your off the line how would traction be of that much help. most of the times ive seen the outcome like that was between street legal cars not really professional NHRA guys

 

you can launch,..spin your ass off through first and second and not go anywhere,..but when you catch traction you are off like a bat out of hell,..think about the time you lost when you were spinning your tires not going anywhere

 

traction loss in between shifts.

say 1-2 slipppp
2-3 slippp
3-4 slipppp

unless they are running serious sized slicks.

 

ok, that helps a little bit cause i was sitting in bed last night trying to figure out the physics of 2 civics going down the track at the same time and one having a higher speed but slower time then the other one
