It's not bad. I would upgrade the lcd to 1703. it's a much better lcd.

but I thought i saw a similar deal but with $200 off instead of $100 and instant vs mail in.

I would wait a few days and check www.bensbargains.net daily if you are ready to buy.

I bought a Dell SC420 server with 40gb SATA, 2.8Ghz Pentium4, 1MB L2 Cache, 533Mhz FSB, 512MB of DDR, no burner, intel crappy video card and gigabit ethernet (no mouse/keyboard or OS) for $33x with tax and shipped.

Or you can try playing the Dellf game and try to get the $200 off instantly coupon code.

Well you can grab that LCD for like $250. So thats about a $300 computer...If you arent into anything intense, I think it is a decent deal.

my stepdad paid a ridiculous amount of money for my computer according to his specifications, even though the one i wanted was a ton cheaper and according to my specifications. so basically all that extra money for memory and other shit went to waste since i don't use it.

Any chance of switching off the Intel card and going with an AGP card? Do they have AGP slots open?

I don't think they have AGP slots any more on the new dells.

Only PCI eXpress.

If you buy that system and it has no AGP, let me know. I have a low end PCI eXpress card I can send you.

128MB and can't be OCed but it'll be free and 100x better than the onboard Intel junk.

They have the 4700 with 17" and a 3Ghz P4 but only 256ram and a 48x CDROM drive for $499 including a 2yr warranty and service plan.

Hmm...
