ok, so i took a printer from my house and forgot the software. I downloaded the driver online, but i still can't get it to work. i unzipped the file, it opened, i got a popup for it, clicked OK for the type of printer, then i got a message that says to turn the printer on and make sure its plugged in. said something about searching for something, but whatever it is it can't find it. and when the "found new hardware" thing pop ups, it obviously doesn't work because i don't have the program on a CD and it can't find the install stuff.

help please :happysad: i suck at this kind of shit.

 

ok also when i tried it again the same thing happened, but i clicked stop searching, and this message came up:
"The printer is set to PORT. TO use the printer on a network, change the printer port as necessary. "

 

ok well nevermind, i got it. hopefully. i guess i'll try and print to find out for sure.
