Default Good News!

I went to a bodyshop to get estimates on the vandalism to my car, and got the following figures:

$1035.00 for Drivers side quarter panel.

$405.00 for Hood.

I'm not going to fix the car, and am going to keep the money to help out my dad and have a little spending money for myself, a nice member on this board is going to sell me some rims and tires for around 200. The rest is going to my family. I'm so happy!

how bad is the damage though? personally i wouldnt leave a bashed up quarter panel to get rims and tires.... the hood is another story, easily replacable with carbon fiber later.

I'm not doing it to get rims and tires, for those who didn't know, my family has been through some financial trouble (my dad lost his job, and I haven't seen my mom in 8 years). I'm using 1200 for my dad, brother and I, whereas 200 just for rims and tires. I just want to spend a little bit for myself.

The damage is pretty bad, but nothing I can fix for two hundred, so I'm just going to go ahead and buy the rims and tires...I've always wanted a set.

I got 1800 from my insurance agency cus i accidently hit my neighbors rear bumper and it dented my front right fender. All i did was go and get a fender from the junkyard for 70 bucks and kept the rest of the 1730 for myself

Is the ins. co. gonna cut you the check? Some agencies will only write a check to a business.
