ill have to try that next time im feeling a 4 hour drive for dinner
so last nite pretty much went down like this:
walk in wait for a table at the bar, start sippin down the first whiskey manhatten :yumyum: while Holly drank some wine that she didnt like all that much.
table comes up, order 2nd manhatten... 2 sips in im feelin :loco:
order dinner .... i had a full cut prime rib (16 oz) with a baked potato and a salad with escargot for appetizer
she ordered lobster tail with shrimp scampi...
we eat, order creme broulet for dessert
check comes....
in excess of 100$ later, on the way home.
good time overall

If you don't mind the drive, Jack's Oyster House in Albany is outstanding. Great steak, great seafood, and the place has been around for like a hundred years, so there's a real feeling of history inside.

thats not a bad drive from the U, only like hour and 20 minutes or so... maybe we will have to check that one out sometime.
