That's a very nice gift, she must be doing something right. $300 is out of my price range. I think I'll just give my GF a $100 gift card from Victorias Secret. Call me cheap but we haven't been going out for that long.

Why not find out what she wants or needs...and get her something. It's not that its a cheap gift..anyone likes getting Gift Certificates...but if it's my boyfriend, i'd expect a little bit of thought to be put into it...That way i know he knows me and pays attention to me, just a tad.

well my personal belief is not to give jewelery to my gf as presents. unless it had another function, just as a watch.
the only time I've broken that belief is when I got her a diamond studs for our 9th year anniversary, just before I quit my job :chuckles:
The next time I break it is for our engagement.

if you are going to get her diamond ear rings check www.bluenile.com i'm not sure if they go down to the sub $500 mark but they have about 50-60% cheaper than any jewelerly store. I saved at least 50% on my purchase.

i like to give usefull gifts but if jewelry is what she really wants....
ill check that out but chances are im going to stick with a local jeweler. im a good heckler
