I do web design/development from home as my full-time job. :wiggle:

 

is that extra work necessay? i mean, if its eaier to do some required stuff at home, i don't blame her.

 

does she have to do it in order to keep her job...like her work isnt getting done while she's actually AT work? Or is she an overachiever? Or is she really just insane?

 

you know that saying work smarter not harder? that saying is pretty damned idiotic in my opinion.

if someone said that in reference to how much my gf works they would get an earful. if one of her boss/coworker said that to her they would get enough for all of them.

she has to support customer that are in the US, as well as Taiwan. How do you support someone who is 16hrs ahead without working into the night or on sundays (their monday).

not only that her work load is easily enough to overwhelm 3 people.

when she was gone on a business trip to taiwan for 16days, her boss and 2 other people covering for her (only her US accounts) couldn't handle it.

The end result was that, they decided to move this other person into my gfs US account.

So yeah the work is very necessary. only 8 hrs a day is the usual work hours but she has enough on her plate for easily double that amount.

 

she is an overachiever but she knows her limits. fuggin UCBerkeley engineers you know.

When you are salaried you have to do what it takes to get the job done. It has its perks, you can take a day off and still get paid. My brother is salaried and he is usually out of the house before 6:30AM and seldom back before 6PM. Nuts I tell you!!!

 

well that makes sense then..but whoever she works for should do something to help her with such a large workload. thats ridiculous. she's going to kill herself working like that.
