I'm looking through realtor listings and there are a few houses that include "window treatment/curtains" as a selling point. :ugh: It makes me wonder if they wash these or just pretend they are part of the house.

maybe they mean stuff like blinds?

I don't know, they want 189,000 for the house yet it doesn't have a garage and it's about 1,600 square feet, so it makes me wonder what those window treatments are made of.

How much without the windowtreatments?

Tell them you want a 50k reduction because you don't like them.

Isn't it nice that they have the sewer connected on some of them..........in my city where we don't have septic systems.

Because they are really fugen expensive I just did 3 Very Big windows in my moms house last year and it was nearly $700 for 2" Faux wood by Bali. Think of what real wood would cost or even shutters. The reason I did not install real wood was not price but performance UV rays and moisture ruin wood blinds over time Big window = lots of UV rays 2' foot plus snow & 30 inches+ rain a year = lotsa moisture even if the windows are double pane

Yup it's because they are friggin expensive. When we purchased our house the family left the window treatments. I was like yeah whatever Then my mother inlaw who does interior home decorating told us how much our window treatments are - $5000 just for the front of the house! I was the same way - $5000 for friggin curtains?

See, I never notice this because my mom makes her own curtains. Although it does take her awhile so I guess I can see why it would cost that much.
