Default Starting Problem->Narrowing to distributor?

Hey, I've got a 92 civic dx... everything is completely stock. I've been having some trouble with a rattling sound during acceleration, and troulbe starting. The car will sound like its going to turn over but never does. Once you turn the key to the off position it sounds like its going to start, but dies. This problem continued to get worse,and now it won't even start. I can't even push start it, which i did the night before it . There was very little vacum in the air hose.... and none of the plugs (new) were firiing. The car has about 150,000 miles. Just replaced fuel filter, cleaned fuel system. Any Ideas? Thanks a lot,

Sorry, but for now I can't think of anything...........
But if you keep at it long enough I'm sure you'll get it goin. I guess you never had any check engine lights?

If you're not getting spark, then it's likely the ignitor (inside the distributor)... remove the ignitor and take it to autozone... they'll run a diagnostic on it for free.
