Default interesting...

well not really but

I got a quote (insurance) for 03 Civic Si and it came out to $800+/6months

Then I got a quote for 2002 S2000 and it came out o $550/6months...

same level of coverage and miles driven per year, etc.

FYI 02 ///M5 costs $50/6 months more to insure than the S2000.

Civic is owned by young kids who are more prone to wreck, hence the insurance will be higher.

I test drove a '02 Suzuka Blue S2000 an hour ago. It only has 8,500miles and they want $24,999. Maybe its just me but I couldn't find the lever to adjust the steering wheel, if there is one. I'm 6'3 and had plenty of leg room but there wasn't much space between my legs and the bottom of the steering wheel. :dunno:

I was thinking that but is the overall insurance rate based on the general age group who drive that car? I would think that wouldn't matter when you are getting a specific quote for yourself. DakarM is like 30ish right?

think theft

people wrecking their car does affect the insurance rate some what but not nearly as much as theft. even if EP3 is one of the least liked Civic to come from Honda in the past decade or so :chuckles:

:ts:

Theft is the cause for insurance rates on a specific car model to be high. Being accident prone causes an individual person's insurance rates to be high.
