So I did a search, and I read that I can use a C-clamp spring compressor tool...but you said the one at sears is shitty...hrmm.

I had no luck with it. I couldn't compress the valve spring at all.

I checked harbor freight, they didn't have anything.

Maybe I will attempt that craftsman one and if it doesn't work, I can take it back. Did you have the head removed while doing it? Maybe thats easier to use it with...:dunno:

Yeah, I had the head removed from the engine. If I didn't, the valve would just drop into the engine.
