Default Got HD Advance v2.0 & HDD

So I installed the 160 GB Maxtor drive into my PS2 (formatted to 152), and booted up the HD loader. Started fine, so I decided to "test" it with a copy of Killzone... it took 30 minutes to rip the game, and I had to put it into "Mode 3" for it to run. Worked fine, and the only real difference between the disk and HD versions was that the HD copy had an insanely fast loadtime.

It's just sad because I went from playing Halo 2 (beautiful) to Killzone (beautiful for the PS2, dirty looking in comparison to Halo h: ), but now I'm freed from the tyranny of DVDs, so I'm happy

What's the max size a PS2 can take for a hard drive?
Can you put a hard drive in the new SLIM PS2's?

I paid like $32 or something shipped. I got it from linker4u.com, and ignore the $46 price tag on the front page. When you select the version you want, the price comes to $28 before shipping.

The old version supported 40-120G drives. 2.0 supports up to 200 GB drives, and no, it's not compatable with the slim PS2s because they cannot use HDDs

A little bird told me that there's a program named WinHIIP that allows you to hook the HD in you PS2 to your computer to cut down on install times of games. It also lets you install ISOs. So I was told :rick:
