oh so electricity doesn't travel at the speed of light... in the explanation it only goes at that speed because the wire is already "full". But I i were to pass a 100 km power line where point a has a generator and point B has a house, from the time i plug the line in the generator to the the time the lights go on in the house how much time would it take? that was the question i had...

In a vacuum they can go the speed of light because of the wave/particle duality of electrons. But in a wire they won't.
