just now new to shaving!? i was shaving since i was 16...but anyway.

red bumps = razor burn.............replace razor (at least 3 blades to prevent skin damage)

try out the Neutrogena brand Razor Defense shaving cream - really good stuff.

it's razor burn man. I usually shave with a mach3 and let the shaving cream sit for a little bit. Also, try to shave after a shower, the hair will be soft then.

Are you black? Not in a mean way though....my black friends always get those bumps when shaving. But since youre a noob, maybe you have a dull blade??

tru dat. Shaving cream softens the hair. I asked a guy at work (he does customer service for Gillette) if shaving with only water dulls the razor and he said yesssss. Shaving cream softens the hair.
