dude ball the same shape, 2 endzone and extra points for kick after "touch down" that is it...The rules in football and rugby are more different than similar

Do they not tackle each other? do they not throw the ball at each other? do they not score through two uprights? Is the scrum not too uncommon from a line up at the line of scrimmage?

Don't read too far into me saying they are common...They have more similarities than any other two sports (except perhaps cricket and baseball, but I'm not brushed up on cricket so I'm not positive), so lay off.
