what does this email reply mean?
Symantec Mail Security replaced Message Body with this text message. The original text contained prohibited content and was quarantined.

yeah i get those kind of emails all the time. My understanding is that the email you sent somehow had a virus in it. Sometime i get those reply from people i never emailed, the IT support here told me it was normal to get those...at work anywais

Its a spam filter....When the Email server picks up a virus you'll get a different email..and it will state the virus it found.
this one "The original text contained prohibited content and was quarantined. "
Sounds more like spam email. We have a spam/ mail filter here and the way it searches for spam is by keywords. If it picks up certain key words we add to the list it will stop the email from being delivered.
This is a message you would get from our mail filter if its a virus :
"Attention: Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman, & Dicker LLP detected a virus in a message you recently sent to our location. The infected message has been cleaned and forwarded to the intended recipients at this organization. Virus information on this infected message follows: Virus Scanner found the
W32/Netsky.p@MM!zip virus
in the attached file: message.zip"

Here is what I get all the time. And our support told me it most probbly a virus...but then again Romeo might be right as it is stated in the Reply itself that it might be cause by a virus. And i dont even know the email adresse i supposibly sent this to.
