my next car.
my next car is going to be one of the following:
bc/bf subaru legacy wagon 4wd
volvo 240t wagon
volvo 740t wagon
volvo 940t wagon
My goal is to have a normal grocery-getter looking wagon with near-stock comfort (no springs, keeping all options etc), that can run low 13s or high 12s at altitude. Its a tall order, but I think any of these cars can get me there.

my dad used to have a 240 and i used to drive it for about 2-3 months. holly shit, that is a different experience. but the main thing is that how long they last,. let just say, it left our hands at 280000 miles, witha whole in the block, and shtill ran. thoe things go forever.

rip out the crappy 4cylinder turbo engine and put a 350 chevy in it! :exnbp:

yeah, i'd kinda prefer not to go with american iron because of the gas factor and the weight.
Either way (subaru or volvo) I'm going to see what I can do with the stock turbo engine, and when I hit a dead end (or it blows up), I'll consider my swapping options. Luckily with the subaru, any ej/ez motor/tranny is a no-brainer aside from wiring. I'd probably go stand-alone just to circumvent the wiring hastle.
