hmmm ... i wonder who they're going after with this design.

It's useless to try and compete against Google at this point; Microsoft should just stick to building operating systems and calm down.

i'm still in shock this caused google and yahoo stocks to fall.

You can't say that this caused their stock to fall. There are many reasons that their stock might have dropped & I doubt MSN had anything to do with it. Google dominates. It's just like Microsoft to get on the bandwagon by copying someone else's design/idea.

i heard it in the money portion of the cbs news that it was announced yesterday that the microsoft search engine would go live on 11/10 ... then stock prices fell for yahoo and google.

Microsoft is still the most dominant company in the computer industry today, if they announce a new product, people react.

they're doing some sort of dramatic "re-launch" targeted to take down google.

all i see is a new search home page ... everything else looks the same.
