of course you're in CA so you can bring it out for exercise once in a while

If you are worried about rain, then these tires aren't for you even the Azenis 215s I would say. These are strictly for autocrossing and die hards. If you worry about rain get some all seasons or ES100s, Toyo T1S, or another tire.
As you can see from the pictures they come pre molded at 4/32nds already.
My Azenis have over 8,000 miles on them already and they haven't worn down much. I had 3 sets already over the past 2 years. My 1st set had over 20,000 miles on them before I sold them with 2mm of tread left. My 2nd set were shaved to 3mm and lasted well over 15,000 miles. I'm on my 3rd set now. And have another set of 215/45x16" Azenis with hologram treads on them

I remember going from 8/32" to ~4/32" of tread after only 2 autocrosses on my front 2 ES100s because of my +0.2 camber up front, and because I had a friend co-drive my car during the second Auto-X, which meant 8 runs on a 110+ seconds course :doh:
