i usually just use cars.com and autotrader.com

if you know what kinda car you're looking for, car-specific sites will be helpful.

 

don't buy something you can't go look at first easily.
Check the classifieds.
Or just figure out what you want and as soon as you see one parked in someone's driveway go up to their door and ask if they want to sell it. That's what I did, the car didn't even have a for sale sign. :chuckles:
