I was driving down to L.A. 'bout a year ago and the CV joint, on the passengers side, went bad on the freeway just as I was getting into town. It was fine if I kept a steady speed or while accelerating, but as soon as I would start to slow down the car would pull to the right so hard I had to muscle it straight. Not to mention it felt like a jackhammer was pounding the wheel hub! Scared the crap out of me, thought all my lugs on the wheel were coming off or something.

I pulled into a 7-11 to check it out and the lugs were fine. Couldn't figure it out right away, then I noticed the CV boot was ripped to shreds and I was like "OH FAWK!" I decided to brave it and finished the trip. I finished my business in L.A. and drove back home like 300+ miles with it like that. Scariest trip I ever made by myself.

Is Autozone free installation?
yes, it's free. At least, they didn't charge me anything.

i did a chameleon paintjob on the freeway during 5 o'clock traffic once.

ok, that was a lie. the most i did was repair a radiator hose by trimming it and refilling up the radiator with some stranger's garden hose as he was not home :rick:

I had to remove my door panel, unwire my auto up/down switch module and rewire the window switch back to factory specs all with a tiny leatherman h: Worst idea evAr to roll my window down while talking to my girl in my car.

When I had my 89 the driver wheel started to hop really bad. Turned out the strut bolt came loose and the strut was hopping up and down in the carriage. Pulled over and tightened it and got on my way. On the way home it happened again and this time it came out all the way, the wheel went inward and cut the brake line. I used a nozzle off an old throttle body I had in the car and some hose clamps just to get it home. This sucked, I had already been out all night in New Orleans partying and looking at titties, all I wanted to do was get back to the barracks, but nooooooo....
