Default I.V. Made me bruise

Last saturday, I got sent to the hospital and was on an I.V. I just noticed it's getting that brownish tint to it. It doesn't hurt, but should it bruise up like that?

It's been a week and I still have those grey marking that the tape leaves after you rip it off, from the sticky sh!t.

yeah it gets bruised because when they insert the I.V it expands in your veins and stretches them out.

you may want to consider bathing(with soap), or using acetone to remove the adhesive. It is normal to get some bruising from venipucture or IV therapy. Hope you are okay now
