Default So I have the router plugged in...

And "set up" yet the notebook computer doesn't recognize that their is a network I have no idea what i'm doing

give more info. anything and everything you can think of type it out.

Otay...cable model is connected to the router, and the computer I am on is connected to the router.

I set it up in internet explorer. It's a linksys router.

i figured it was only a matter of time

wireless can be trick sometimes to connect to, specially if you were connected to a different wireless router or was connected via teh wire.

It was a matter of turning off the computer, the modem, and the router, and then turning them on in reverse order

yes the old lets turn off all these electronic BS and turn it back on to see if they will play nicely trick
