Default PS2 question

do all PS2's play DVD's in progressive scan mode or just the newer ones?

I'm looking at used ones but I wanna know how far back they started it... not all of them list it as playing in progressive scan so I'm confused.

The ones that do I think are SCPH-50001. Any other number are older model PS2's. Also, the newer slim down version PSTWO is also a progressive scan DVD player.

Your TV has to support 480P too. You know that, right?
