mpeg1 mpeg2

Whats the difference? I'm converting some files (.wmv to .mpeg), does it really matter which I choose, I want the highest quality that I can get.

mpeg2 is dvd quality, mpeg1 is vcd quality iirc. if it's a wmv, it probably doesn't have that high of a resolution, so I would just do mpeg1 if I were you :dunno:
